Message from the Seoul Chapter President, May 5, 2011

Dear Seoul Kotesol Members,

1) The next important Kotesol event is the National
Conference at KAIST on Saturday 14 May. Please go
to www.koreatesol.org and click on National Conference
on the Sidebar Menu, to pre-register for this conference.

2) A BIG THANK YOU to all those people who have already
signed up for the bus. Actually it will be a comfortable
white in front / blue at the back Kyonggi University (KGU) fleet
COACH, with the clearly visible KGU logo.

Basically the timetable for this coach will still be -
6:00 am Leave the Main Gate of Kyonggi University Suwon
Campus. (Not the Back Gate on the Suwon to Suji Highway!)
6:30 am Seoul - Leave from outside the Yongsan Post Office,
Shinyongsan Subway Station No4 BLue Line Exit 1

We should arrive at the National Conference in time for
registration. Depending on the traffic!

5:45 pm Leave KAIST, and return to the Yongsan Post Office,
Seoul, then Suwon.

Charges - No charge to paid-up Kotesol members. ( The chapter
will pay for the bus out of chapter funds. )
Non-Kotesol members 5,000 won ( Pay to Bruce Wakefield
when boarding the bus. )

Please note that the departure times are based on the latest
information about the National Conference Schedule that I
have received.
PLEASE COMPLETE the survey on www.seoulkotesol.org if
you have not signed up for the Seoul bus.

Please send any bus enquiries to bruce_wakefield@hotmail.com
as I will be the bus master for the day! It is imperative that I have
an accurate bus list for both legs of the journey. As two years ago
two people claimed that they missed the returning bus to Seoul.

3) Our next regular Saturday workshop will be on Saturday
21 May in Room 105, Injaeguan. The presenters will be
Sharon de Hinojosa and Lara Jay Hamilton. Their topic will be
"Teaching Multi-Level Classes". Please find the time to attend
what could be a very useful and practical presentation.

4) There will also be Seoul Workshops on Saturday 18 June
and Saturday 9 July. Plus, an Executive Meeting from 12:00
to 2:00 on June 18!

Please go to www.seoulkotesol.org OR www.koreatesol.org
for more details about all our workshops. Plus directions to
the venue for new Seoul members.

5) Please also note that the Kotesol Christian Teachers Special
Interest Group ( SIG ) will be holding a symposium in Seoul
on May 28. Go to www.koreatesol.org for details.

Regards and Thanks
Bruce Wakefield
Seoul Chapter President 2009 / 12
